Overview of role:

Digitally and data driven senior marketing professional responsible for the creation and delivery of high quality and engaging marketing and communications activity, with a focus on digital for RLB UK and Europe.

Experienced in both online and offline marketing and communication strategies and tactics including executing lead generation campaigns.

  • Work with the Head of Brand and Communications to develop the firm’s brand and communications strategy and associated digital strategy
  • Work with business leaders and sector marketing to develop impactful content to build the RLB brand online, and to analyse and attract targeted audiences including potential employees, industry peers and current and future customers
  • Support the Head of Brand & Communications and work closely with business leaders to initiate, generate and implement internal communications, ensuring that content is timely, clear and consistent and aligned to core company objectives
  • Develop great relationships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless flow of information and knowledge sharing across the business

 

Key responsibilities:

Internal communications

  • Collaborate with the Board, HR and the Partner Group on business strategy communications, change initiatives, embedding culture and driving employee engagement
  • Initiate, generate and implement internal communications activity across multiple channels, ensuring that content is timely, clear and consistent, in support of business growth plans
  • Be responsible for RLB’s intranet, introducing new functionality and improving engagement through creative content and reporting on engagement
  • Establishing profiles for community groups to build better connections and further unite RLB
  • Deliver internal events for specific groups to raise awareness, share knowledge and improve collaboration

 

External communications

  • Support the Head of Brand and Communications in the development and delivery of corporate marketing plans and strategies aligned to business priorities
  • Represent the RLB brand ensuring consistency and compliance with brand guidelines
  • Support a proactive PR programme including digital announcements and promotion of key corporate themes
  • Identify and support in the delivery of industry events, awards and sponsorship opportunities to enhance and promote the RLB brand

 

Digital communications

  • Demonstrate an ability to work with data, manage metrics and insights; apply marketing technology as appropriate to drive awareness and lead campaigns
  • Have a strong understanding and experience in content marketing, and applicable distribution channels including use of social media to reach and engage business decision-makers
  • Manage all digital channels including the website, and be familiar with key platforms e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, website CMS
  • Oversee and execute digital marketing strategies including paid social media
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of digital marketing initiatives with overall business goals, promotional calendar, and brand guidelines

 

Management

  • Support the Head of Brand and Communications in the management of the marketing and communications spend by project, demonstrating clear return on investment
  • Support in the education of other marketing and communications professionals, particularly in relation to digital marketing
  • Manage the digital marketing manager to coach, develop and grow their knowledge and experience
  • Ensure legal, compliance, privacy and security guidelines are followed for all activities
  • Create regular reports to evaluate success against key metrics

 

Person specification:

Success in this position will require an enthusiastic individual with a passion for teamwork and delivering high-quality work whilst juggling multiple projects.  A demonstrable understanding of marketing, communications and digital go-to-market is essential.

  • Confident self-starter who can work independently and in a team
  • An excellent project manager used to juggling priorities and projects under pressure, able to demonstrate a track record of flexibility and delivery to demanding deadlines
  • Curious and a quick learner who can absorb the relevant knowledge about our business and marketplace to translate business priorities into action
  • Excellent collaboration skills with colleagues at all levels in the business to achieve best outcomes
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Creatively minded and able to suggest new approaches to meet business objectives in an engaging and compelling way
  • Experience of working with senior leadership and ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
