Department Overview:

Our dedicated Built Asset Consultancy Team at RLB proactively manage and undertake surveys, formulate designs and specifications, administrate projects and programmes plus various other bespoke services to ensure our clients estate remains well maintained and achieves its full potential. We additionally provide extensive commercial services which include Dilapidations, Lease Advice and Pre-acquisition surveys. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service to our clients and enjoy long term relationships them.

We are a sector focused business actively operating and investing in Commercial, Residential, Education, Sports, Nuclear and Retail clients and projects. Surveyors work in close contact with the client, advising them on legal and financial matters that arise during the project.

 

Overview of Role:

We are currently looking for Fire Engineering professionals at all levels to help grow and develop our new Fire Advisory Solutions and Engineering Service, which has ambitious plans for growth over the next years nationally.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established multi-disciplinary team of consultants who pride themselves on providing outstanding Fire Safety guidance and advice, to a range of clients within both the public and private sectors.

We provide a wide range of consultancy Fire Safety services to our clients including :

  • Fire Engineering Services
  • Fire Compartmentation Surveys
  • Fire Quality Monitoring
  • Fire Risk Assessments
  • Building Safety Management / Building Safety Act Management
  • Developing Building Safety cases

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed candidate to join and strengthen our team. The role will be an excellent opportunity for a self-starter to provide Fire Consultancy services from within our existing team.

 

Person Specification:

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive approach to the role, and will be delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results. They will be passionate about fire safety and will strive to provide the upmost quality on every commission.
  • Level 5 minimum qualification achieved in Fire Discipline
  • Robust knowledge of UK fire safety legislation
  • Strong technical delivery experience
  • Membership of IFE / IFSM or equivalent
  • Ability to successfully direct and manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
  • Track record in successful line management and development of team members
  • Experience with developing new relationships and securing new business
  • Client facing, ensuring high standards of technical delivery
  • Able to build long-term client relationship
  • Experience of prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
  • A team player, outgoing, flexible and motivated
