Location: Hybrid (Base in local office 2-3 days)
Reporting to: National Programmes Leadership team              

RLB is a major international property and construction consultant, currently embarking on an exciting expansion journey with challenging growth plans to meet our 2030 strategy.

We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to help us build and improve for the future as we continue to grow.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and Leadership team , this role will work in close collaboration with the regional administrators, senior management and the wider finance team.

 

Department Overview:

National programmes business unit provides Project Management, Building Surveying, Principal Designer and QS Services to clients with large portfolios, working in partnership / on long term frameworks. The unit is 130 colleagues in size and growing.

Promote strong governance to enable us to meet regulatory requirements and the management of financial risk.

A diverse finance team that operates on digital platforms to challenge, direct, and support the operations of RLB.

 

Overview of Role:

This is a national UK role and location can be at any of the UK offices. The purpose of the role is to provide timely and accurate support to the leadership team and the wider business on financial management processes for the unit.

Line Management of 2 colleagues.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • To take ownership of the financial administration of the National Programmes unit
  • Support with the internal finance software for fee forecasting and invoice management
  • Support on the financial management of the key accounts with the unit
  • Drive efficiency and processes for the financial administration of the unit
  • Lead the financial management team and provide support and direction
  • Liaise with the other units and ensure best practice is being followed
  • Liaise with the central finance team and make sure data matches
  • IT expert on the financial management systems
  • Provide regular reporting data on progress and gaps
  • To interpret data and communicate suitable and concise variance analysis

 

Candidate Specification:

  • Use to dealing with large volumes of financial data
  • Commercial and business analytical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Ability to work to a timetable
  • A great communicator
  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience and knowledge with all other Microsoft 365 applications
  • An individual that can work to the RLB Hybrid policy
